What is Nasi Lemak?

Nasi Lemak is famous among Malaysians all walks of life. Originally its a Malay staple food. U can find it in many stall, food court, cafe and even in a hotel in Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and Singapore.

It has fragrant's rices cooked with coconut milk and Pandan Leaf. Serves together with Sambal, Roasts Groundnuts, Fried's Annchovies and either sliced Cucumber or Kangkong Goreng Belacan (Swamp's Cabbage Fried)

Note :

A truly remarklable Nasi Lemak is not to be taken lightly. Its should fulfill a perfect standard of quality, texture, flavors and of course the right ingredients in a right times.

Its only an Orang Lama know how to make it in perfect way, if u didn't know maybe u'll say its using Basmathi's Rices cause its has a long texture rice but they were just using a normal's plain rices or fragrant's rices.

Usually its also came with signature dishes :

Sambal Sotong / Squid Sambal
Sambal Udang / Prawn Sambal
Kangkung Goreng Belacan
Ayam Goreng / Fried Chicken

Rendang Ayam

Why Nasi Lemak is a Hot Stuff?

It was because 'Chinese Association Of School's Canteens' has once tried to ban Nasi Lemak from being selling inside school's canteens in Malaysia because its making student feeling tired and sleepy. (but no exact evidence/proof to support this)

This is a list of well known restaurant u can have Nasi Lemak :

In Malaysia :
  • U can have Supreme Nasi Lemak in Old Town. (Chinese Cafe)
  • Have a Historic Nasi Lemak in Nasi Lemak Antarabangsa. (Malay Cafe/Restaurant)
  • Walking alongside the road and ask people for recommended Nasi Lemak stall, restaurant or cafe.
  • There a plenty of place which sell this dishes from Plain Nasi Lemak for only RM0.60 (stall) to as higher RM8.00++ (Cafe/Hotel). (Yes only 60 cents to RM8 and so on)
  • 1st ask the price before choose if u didn't want to regret.
